When you’re lucky enough to work with some of the most talented composers out there, you get plenty of opportunities to sing their praises when they do cool sh!t. Earning Team ALIBI’s kudos this month is our long-time friend and trusted composing partner Jeff Dodson, who recently scored a pretty amazing film short called “Evenveil,” which his company
also produced.“Evenveil” is a proof-of-concept fantasy short from director Sam Balcomb and Rainfall Films. The conceptualization of the environments and characters began in 2020, as Rainfall started developing new techniques for world-building visual effects and implementation with live action. The story is a small sample of a larger, sprawling narrative that Rainfall plans to continue exploring.
And, yes, you’ll find plenty of ALIBI SFX in this short, but the credit is all Jeff’s for his incredible ear and expert sound design. Watch the film short
