About Alibi
We Make Music to Back Up Your Story
ABOUT ALIBI We make music to back up your story. ALIBI creates authentic, emotionally resonant music of the highest quality possible and pairs it with the best search tools in the industry. We make it easy for creatives to find the exact sound they need to tell their stories. Since being founded in 2011, ALIBI’s music and sound effects have appeared in literally hundreds of thousands of hours of content produced all around the world. From cinematic blockbusters, Super Bowl ads and AAA games to homemade podcasts and first time YouTube channels, ALIBI is the premiere music and sound effects provider for any creative working in medium with audio. We’ll let all their work speak for the quality of ours. We put just as much care into the things you can’t hear. The ALIBI production team includes over 500 composers from every continent on the planet* who are experts in their respective musical genres. Our music is never created using AI and never will be. Every single audio file in our ever-expanding catalog is also tagged by ear instead of having its metadata created by a program. That means our staff actually listens to everything we produce (including stems, alternate mixes and cutdowns we make for each track) and labels it in exacting detail for the benefit of our bespoke search engine. Is it fun? Honestly, no. But the result is the most powerful, intuitive, and user-friendly music search platform on the internet. Now for the boring but important part: ALIBI retains 100% ownership of everything in our catalog, worldwide, in perpetuity. So once you find what you need, licensing and allowlisting is easy. We can create custom license agreements for single tracks, annual or project-specific blanket rates, as well as subscription plans and a la carte online licensing. You can also rest assured knowing that our composers split the licensing fees with us and receive royalties through their PROs. Even if you don’t work with music by trade, we still think you’re cool. By popular demand, we release all our music commercially so you can listen on any major streaming service. It took forever to set up, and it sucked. You’re welcome.
