ALIBI’s Two Jonathans Featured in Industry Q&As

Not one, but both of ALIBI’s Jonathans earned some love from respected industry publications this fall. First, our fearless leader Jonathan (“JP”) Parks sat down with longtime entertainment reporter Paige Albiniak for a Q&A about all things production music that ran in Spotlight By G.E.M.A., the official trade publication of the Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences.

“Parks also spent years developing a search engine designed to help creators find exactly the track for which they are looking, even if they don’t have a great idea of what they want when they start. And a couple of years ago, Parks extended the company’s client base from traditional TV, film and commercial producers to content creators, expanding the reach of the company’s music even further,” the article’s lead-up shared. “Parks spoke to Spotlight about his innovative take on production music and how he’s constantly refining the company’s approach.”

ALIBI’s Jonathan Haskell (or “Haskell,” as we refer to him) also got to bask in the media spotlight with a profile Q&A that appeared in VoyageLA, a publication telling LA stories uncovering the “local businesses & creatives you should know.” Haskell’s Q&A delved into his musical journey as well as the intricacies of his work in music publishing.

“I would say that tracking usages and continuously communicating with the PROs (which have such a monumental task on their hands to represent their vast membership) is where I spend the majority of my time,” he explained. “But ultimately, when our writers and publishers receive their statements each quarter, and it’s an accurate reflection of their work being performed in the world, it’s hard to beat that kind of job satisfaction. I’m grateful to all sides — the networks, the musicians and the PROs — for fostering such a dynamic community of working artists.”
