The sounds of Serge Gainsbourg are all over this Euro Cool album. Drift yourself back to Paris in the '60s where it was chic to slum it in café's, motor through town on a Vespa and quote Rimbaud. Set a cool retro mood with these tracks which are filled with tremolo guitars, reverby bass, minimalist funky drumming, harpsichord , organs and an array of sensual, vocal mumbles. The singer sounds like he's either trying to seduce a woman or get someone else to pay his bar tab. Either way, it's a slice of 60s/70s filmic pie you'll want to serve up if you're in need of vintage rock/pop sounds from that era-- especially if it's a mysterious, intriguing, hip or sexy style you're after.
